The Colorado Opportunity Caucus is a group of Democratic state legislators who work towards creating public policy that empowers working families and improves economic opportunity for every Coloradan.

People Over Politics
Decisions should be guided by how they affect constituents’ livelihoods, paychecks, and opportunities. We reject ideology for ideology’s sake; our measure is real-world impact.
Collaboration Over Conflict
We seek to build bridges, not walls. Members actively engage with colleagues across divides to find common ground.
Pragmatism Over Purity
No one member or individual has all the answers. We will consider policies that advance progress, even if imperfect, rather than waiting for an unattainable ideal.
Respectful Discourse
Speak truthfully, but graciously. Avoid personal attacks, inflammatory rhetoric, or language that demeans others. Listen to dissenting viewpoints with openness and humility.
Accountability & Transparency
Hold ourselves and one another accountable for our commitments and actions. Be transparent with constituents and caucus colleagues.
From Every Corner of Colorado
Members of our caucus don't agree on every issue or every piece of legislation — and that's okay. Our districts are different, and the communities we represent from the Western Slope to the Front Range to the San Luis Valley have different needs.
